Statement on Governor’s Budget Proposal

On January 10 Assemblymember Ed Chau (D – Monterey Park) released the following statement upon announcement of the Governor’s 2020-21 State budget proposal:

“I appreciate the strong commitment by the Governor to solve homelessness in our state, and look forward to working on ensuring that cities in my district, and across California, have the necessary tools and resources to service populations in need of assistance.”

“As Chair of the Assembly Committee on Privacy and Consumer Protection, I applaud the Governor’s commitment to invest in strengthening our information technology security operations. We live in a time period wherein cyber threats are becoming too common, so California needs to be prepared in safeguarding its assets and infrastructure, which includes our personal information, as noted in today’s budget.”
