Summer 2010 E-Waste Collection Event

The City of Monterey Park will be hosting an E-Waste collection event, on Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Barnes Park southern parking lot located adjacent to the Service Clubhouse on 440 South Cherri Avenue.

Members of the public may drop-off the following items for re-use and recycling without getting out of their car. Items do not have to be in working condition.

Computers, Stereos, Radios, Speakers, Monitors, Computer parts, Television Sets, Keyboards, Mice, Fax Machines, Adding Machines / Calculators, Telephones, Answering Machines, Electronic Games, Tape Recorders, Copy Machines, Paper Shredders, Microwaves, Digital Clocks, Printers, Cell Phones, VCRs/DVD Players, Tape Decks, Other Electronic Devices w/a plug & circuit board.

The City’s contractor, eWaste Center will be running the event. Usable equipment may be donated to non-profit organizations and/or less privileged individuals in need of technology. Other items will be repaired for re-use or recycled.
