Forty-six years ago the Fab Four came to America and performed the never-ending story as Beatles fans continue to purchase Beatles music and memorabilia at a surprising rate. The Beatles fans are of all ages as Beatles music continues to be played by all, including the new generation of Radio Disney, Nickelodeon and kidsbop.com listeners.
XBOX Beatles Rock Band broke ground last year at the festival to introduce the popular Beatles rock band game. This year the festival will offer Beatles karaoke and Beatles movies all day, merchandise, memorabilia, the history of the Beatles, photo opportunities, live entertainment, the kid’s zone at Pacific Park, live radio personalities, celebrities, food, raff1es and a beer garden with much more.
Tribute to the Beatles 2010 will be a free three-day event open to the public except for the concert on Saturday, August 28, at Barnum Hall at Santa Monica High School. There will be a VIP party and silent auction to benefit the Bob Hope USO of greater Los Angeles area at the DoubleTree Hotel in Santa Monica on Friday August 27, all guests of the hotel, sponsors, local officials, media and VIP‘s will be attending the event.
Members of the award winning musical ‘Ticket to Ride’ featuring Abbey Road will be available for interviews on Friday night at the DoubleTree Hotel and Saturday night before and after at the Barnum Hall live performance. A special appearance by Chris Carter ‘Breakfast with the Beatles’ on 95.5 KLOS will also take place.
The three-day event will take place at the Santa Monica pier August 26-28, 2010. Thursday the event will begin at noon and run through 10pm with a special performance of’ Led Zepagain during the Santa Monica piers Twilight Dance Series that begins at 7pm.
