These are the current salaries that we California residents are paying to our elected officials in Sacramento to govern our state.
Many residents in California are not making these “Golden Salaries”.
Some of these elected officials have decided that we are not paying them enough taxes from our paychecks, sales taxes and property taxes.
My hometown of Monterey Park receives less than 16 cents on every dollar paid in sales tax and 1% of the property taxes paid to Los Angeles County.
Some of these same elected officials have decided they want to destroy PROP 13 that has protected California property taxpayers for the last 40 years.
PROP 13 has caps on annual increases on property taxes of 2% per years, which protects property owners against sharp increases in property taxes, especially when property taxes rise quickly.
PROP 13 provides certainty to homeowners and businesses that they will be able to afford their property tax bills in the future.
FIGHT FOR PROP 13 to Stop Higher Property Taxes is requesting your assistance to battle against some politicians and special interest groups who want to erode PROP 13 and raise property taxes.
“California already has the highest state income and state sales taxes in the nation. Now politicians and special interest groups want to erode PROP 13 and raise property taxes. Please join the coalition to fight for PROP 13.” Robert Gutierrez, President of California Taxpayers Association.
“Our hard-won taxpayer protections are under attack. Current efforts to undermine PROP 13 include state and local ballot measures, state legislation and even lawsuits. These efforts to destroy PROP 13 could cost you thousand of dollars a year.” Jon Coupal, President of Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

If these Sacramento elected officials have their way then California will have two classes of people living in the state: the very wealthy and the very poor. The middle class residents will either move out of California or join the very poor.
The taxpayers want to know what are our elected officials doing with all of the millions of dollars they collect in taxes every month?
Our elected officials need to listen to us the taxpaying voters.
We expect you to protect us from harm and not force us out of our property with your higher taxes.
We pay you a higher salary then most of us will have ever earned in a year over our employment lifetime.
You can always lose your high paying job at the ballot box!
