Senior Librarian Cindy Costales welcome the guests to library on March 31st for a special event honoring Laura Scudder during Women’s History Month.
Mrs. Costales said eleven women in the community would read pages from “Yours Sincerely”, a book created by her grandson, John Scudder.
He used family pictures and included her personal notes in this book. The book is housed in the library. You can review this historical book in the Special Books Section. This book cannot be checked out of the library.

She thanked the community members who made her welcome in Monterey Park. She gave a special thanks to Nancy Yee who welcomed her into our hometown.
