Monterey Park Police Arrest Suspects in Robbery of 2200 Block of S. Atlantic Blvd.
On December 31, 2018 at approximately 2:33 p.m., Monterey Park Police Officers responded to a call of a robbery in progress in the 2200 block of South Atlantic Boulevard in the City of Monterey Park. The initial arriving officer observed the suspects fleeing from the business and a short foot pursuit ensued. Additional officers arrived and assisted in taking three suspects into custody.
The subsequent investigation revealed that two juvenile suspects and one adult suspect worked in concert with each other to commit a jewelry store robbery. The robbery was captured on surveillance footage and jewelry, which was taken from the business was recovered from the subjects. Further investigation revealed the suspects committed two additional robberies earlier in the day in the city of La Puente and San Bernardino.
Daniel Butler, 18, and his two juveniles accomplices (not pictured) were subsequently arrested for numerous charges including robbery (211 PC) and resisting a peace officer (148(a) PC).
Butler, a resident of Los Angeles, was arraigned on January 2, 2019 at the Alhambra Superior Court.
Monterey Park Police Arrest Suspects of Auto Burglary at 300 Block of West Garvey
On January 3, 2019 at approximately 7:57 a.m., an officer investigated an auto burglary that occurred in the 300 block of West Garvey in the City of Monterey Park. The subsequent investigation led to the identification and arrest of two suspects later that evening in the City of Rosemead.
A search warrant was served in the City of Rosemead at the suspects’ residence on January 4, 2019.
The suspects are identified as:
Jesus Orozco, 27, from Rosemead. Robert Milinkovich, 25, from Compton.
Orozco has been charged with suspicion of auto burglary and identity theft. He is being held without bail due to a probation hold. Orozco appeared in the Alhambra Superior Court on January 7, 2019.
Milinkovich has been charged with suspicion of auto burglary. His bail is set at $20,000. Milinkovich appeared in the Alhambra Superior Court on January 7, 2019.
