Mosquitoes Invade The San Gabriel Valley

Members of The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District made a presentation to the Monterey Park City Council during the September 5th meeting.

They had a Power-Point presentation that showed the different types of the mosquitoes that are invading our hometowns.

They reminded everyone of the dangers illnesses that their bites can cause that include West Nile Virus, Zeke Virus, Yellow Fever and more.

They reminded the audience not to allow water to stand since mosquitoes can lay eggs in any standing water.  One hundred eggs can be laid in a small bottle cap.

The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District provided an informational booklet for the residents.
