The San Gabriel Fine Arts Association (SGFAA) will host their annual Photography competition and exhibit at the new Glass Room Gallery, located at 320 S. Mission Dr. (the parking lot side of the Mission Playhouse) San Gabriel, Ca 91776.  This is an open juried show for members and non-members 16 years or older, with cash and ribbon awards.  All works must be original and the creation of the artist and comply with all *show rules.  All entries must be hand delivered to the show and are subject to the approval of the Show Committee.  Registration and Take In dates are Thursday, May 27 – 29, 2010, noon to 4pm at the Gallery.  Reception Inflatable Water Slide and awards date is Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 3 to 6 pm.  *Call 626-282-1448 to obtain a detailed copy of the Photography Show rules and entry forms or stop by the gallery, which is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4pm.

The SGFAA was established in 1965 and is open to artists of all ages.  The SGFAA conducts artist demonstrations, open Spring and Fall juried art shows, workshops, annual plein air competition, and plein air paint out dates and has a permanent gallery for display of show winners and which is available for individual artist shows and workshops.

The public is invited to the next artist demonstrations at the Grapevine Room, 324 S. Mission Dr., San Gabriel, Ca 91776 (NE corner of Mission Dr. and Santa Anita St.) on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 6:30 pm when Erin Rosen will be the demonstrator and Thursday June 18, 2010 when Joseph Stoddard will be the demonstrator.   A $5.00 donation at the door is appreciated.

The next Saturday paint out dates are May 15 at Brookside Park, Pasadena (So. of Aquatic Ctr.) and May 22 So. Pasadena Metro Station at Mission and Meridian.
