MONTEREY PARK ROTARY RECOGNIZES GEORGE HENSEL ETHICS ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS
Monterey Park, CA—April 1st at LA Bistro the Rotary Club of Monterey Park recognized the local winners of the George Hensel Ethics Essay Contest. Local high school students wrote an essay of 500-1,000 words on ethical issues confronting them in today’s complex world. The local winners received a certificate, a monetary reward bouncy castle for sale and the opportunity to compete for a $3,000 scholarship at the Rotary District 5300 level. Jonathan Tam, who is not related to Monterey Park Rotary’s President, won first place in the contest. Anthony Salcido and Roland Truong tied for second.
