Rosemead High School Athlete to Announce College

On Friday, May 12, 2017 an athletic student will announce where he will be playing sport in college and it’s not where or what you think.

Rosemead High School senior Ivan Ip earned All-Mission Valley League honors in basketball the last two seasons for his work for the Panthers boys varsity team on the basketball court, although his college sport is with a twist, actually a lot twists.  Instead of diving for basketballs in the gym, he will be diving into the water in a pool. Rosemead High School doesn’t even have a pool. So, how did he earn a place on the big university diving team when his high school doesn’t even have a pool?

He explained that at the Rosemead High School gym at his college signing ceremony.

He also is an officer of Associated Student Body (ASB) and maintains a high grade point average in classes at Rosemead High School.
