A TOUR AND DINNER WITH HISTORY
Tour the Church of Our Savior in San Gabriel, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, and hear author Nat B. Read—all at the Joint Historical Societies meeting on Saturday, April 1 from 2 to 7 p.m.
The event will be held at the Church of our Savior, 535 West Roses Road in San Gabriel with tours starting at 2 p.m. See the amazing thirty-two stained glass windows, two created by Tiffany and twenty-five done by the famous local Judson Studios, and the five commissioned by the Patton family are from the Willet Studios of Philadelphia.
The 150th anniversary dedication ceremony of the Church will be at 4 p.m.
The buffet dinner will begin at 5 p.m.–meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, tossed green salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverages, Afterwards, local historian and author Nat B. Read will talk about Don Benito Wilson and the history of the Church of Our Savior.
This is the Tenth Annual meeting of the Joint Historical Societies consisting of The Ramona Museum of California History, the San Gabriel Historical Association, the Historical Society of Temple City, the Dinsmor Heritage House Cultural Museum of Rosemead, and the Alhambra Historical Society.
