Edison Trails
Robert Aguirre welcomed all to this event held at Edison Trails on November 12th.
They were joined by many of the residents to celebrate the newly refurbished trails complete with six benches and water fountains for people and dogs.
He and his staff handed out gifts from the San Gabriel Valley Water District and the city to the participants. Over 300 people enjoyed the new trail during this celebration.
Monterey Park residents Tony and Oriana Chan, Rolanda Leon and Carol Sullivan were ready to take the hike.
Carol and Larry Sullivan began their morning hike along with many residents.
City Manager Paul Talbot and Water Boardmember Thomas Wong were spotted enjoying their walk.
Councilmember Hans Liang, Lani Liang, Dan Costley and Andy Louie joined the celebration.
Councilmember Peter Chan joined with Kathy Tieu and Chai Lee at the park.
Yoko Igawa and Amber tried out the new water fountains. The water tasted so good on a hot day.
Vice Mayor Teresa Real Sebastian and her husband, Armen Sebastian already began the hike up on Edison Trails.
Edison Trails is a “little jewel” in our city. The round trip of the trail is 1.7 miles. From the very highest hill in this park you can see Catalina Island on a clear day.
