Halloween in the Park
Roy Yan, Publisher of the Sing Tao Daily, was honored on October 29th by Congressmembers Judy Chu, Ed Royce and Loretta Sanchez, Assemblymembers Ed Chau and Chris Holden, Supervisor Hilda Solis, Community College Trustee Mike Eng, San Gabriel Mayor Chin Ho Liao, Monterey Park Mayor Mitch Ing, Councilmembers Peter Chan and Hans Liang and City Clerk Vince Chang, Police Chief Jim Smith and Fire Chief Scott Haberle.
Mr. Yan and his staff held their first Halloween event in Barnes Park on October 29th and 30th.
The elected officials thanked him for hold this American celebration for all of the residents and their guests. They wished everyone a fun filled and safe Halloween!
Roy Yan said he has lived in London and New York. Now he makes Alhambra his new home.
Children enjoyed the famous slide, the game booths and decorating pumpkins.
Adults and young children dressed in costumes walked around in the park to “trick and treat” at the many booths for candy.
Dogs and their trainers showed off several tricks. The group was from “K9 N You”.
A special guest was from Robotex Institute.
The event featured information booths, gift booths and an international food court.
Volunteers and service club members staffed this safe Halloween event.
