THE SOROPTIMIST STORY

Do you want to help women and girls achieve their dreams and live a better life?

Then come to lunch on Tuesday, November 8, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at Almansor Court at 700 South Almansor Street in Alhambra. Join the members of Soroptimist International of Alhambra San Gabriel San Marino, an organization dedicated to helping women and girls in the community and world-wide.

Currently members of the club are mentoring over one hundred and fifteen eighth grade girls to help them make the transition into high school with the goal of achieving a degree in college and beyond. You will learn how the program works and how successful it has been.

In March, members of the club will present monetary grants to women who are the sole support for their family and who are going back to school to earn a college degree or learn a trade.

There are many other opportunities for women to help other women and girls in the areas of breast cancer, domestic violence and human trafficking awareness.

Learn more about The Soroptimist Story on Tuesday, November 8. Lunch is complimentary. RSVP on or before November 4 at info@sialhambra.org or call Josephine Yang 626 823 8145.
