The Monterey Park Police Department wants to remind all residents to respect public and private property. It is against the law to intentionally damage, graffiti, defecate or urinate on public or private property while in public view. These types of offenses may result in arrest or citation. There is a minimum fine of $100, but it could be much more depending upon the damage or the situation.
