The newly reconstructed Community Pavilion located at Barnes Park in Monterey Park has been vandalized over the past few weeks.

Skate borders riding over the edges the seats have damaged the new picnic benches.  The picnic tables and benches are made of compressed materials that have been damages by the wheels of skateboards.

The many utility storage units located near the back of the pavilion have had the metal doors prided off and stolen by unknown people.

Thousands of our tax dollars have been spent to upgrade our parks for the enjoyment of the residents and their guests.

The city staff is requesting the residents help prevent any damage to our city property.

Please keep your eyes and ears opened around this and the other parks located in our hometown.

If you see anyone damaging our city property please notify the police department.
