Girl Scout Achievement Award
The American Legion Auxiliary offers a National “Girl Scout Achievement Award” annually, and local Units are inviting eligible Girl Scouts to submit an application for the award which involves a $1,000 college scholarship and trip to the American Legion Auxiliary National Convention the year of the Award.
To be eligible the Girl Scout must have received the Gold Award, be an active member of her religious institution and have received the appropriate emblem, demonstrated practical citizenship in church, school, scouting and the community, and must have reached at least the 9th grade. Forms are available on the internet at http://www.calegionaux.org/scholarships.htm and must be processed through a local Unit of the Auxiliary with a deadline of February 10th.
