AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

Department of California – District 18

Past District Presidents of District 18, American Legion Auxiliary, will be honored at the regular monthly meeting on November 16th,  7:30 p.m., at American Legion Post 247, 615 E Live Oak, Arcadia. District President DeNyse Laugeson of El Monte   plans on welcoming many of the ladies that have served the District bouncy castle for sale as President, including Odette Cuccaro of Monrovia and Margaret Quinones of La Puente, both of whom are also Past Department Presidents of the Department of California and continue to serve the State organization.  A special guest will be Department President Norma DuVall of Monrovia, who will bring an inspiring message.  As District 18 chairman she is also in the process of recruiting talent for the third annual District 18  “USO-type show” to be held at Post 280 to benefit the USO at Ontario.    Many Auxililary members volunteer regularly at this facility.

With membership being the “life blood” of the organization, District 18 Membership Chairman, Carole Velasquez of La Puente  urges recruitment of new members along with renewals for 2010 and reinstatement of former members.   Units are located in every community and eligible ladies are urged to contact a local Unit or call the Chairman at 626-965-3677.
