IN-N-OUT BURGER HISTORY (NO SAMPLES!)

The Alhambra Historical Society invites everyone to their evening meeting on Wednesday, March 25 at the Masonic Center, 9 West Woodward, corner of First Street, in Alhambra to learn about the history of In-N-Out Burger and other fast food organizations by Joe Castillo, an historian and writer for the Mid-Valley News.

The social half hour begins at 7 p.m. with refreshments (but no burger samples!), and displays of historical items. At 7:30 Mr. Castillo will tell about the growth of the fast food industry in Southern California featuring In-N-Out Burger from 1948 to present. This popular company was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder with an emphasis on quality, service and family-owned operations. That philosophy has certainly worked as evidenced by the popularity of the establishment in Alhambra!

Castillo will also discuss other fast food organizations and their founders, and influence on the fast food industry. He will tell about the current state of the industry in the United States, to be followed by a question and answer period.
