SELECTS REBEKKA LIEN AS ITS “YOUNG CAREERIST FOR 2015”

East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women (BPW) selected Rebekka Lien, who writes a column for the “West Valley Journal/Monterey Park Journal” and is an international multi-lingual entrepreneur, life coach, actress, realtor, speaker, artist and writer as its “Young Careerist for 2015.” Lien will be accepting the award at the Wednesday, January 28th dinner meeting of the East Los Angeles-Montebello BPW at the DoubleTree Hotel Restaurant, 888 Montebello Blvd., Rosemead. Networking starts at 4:30 P.M. with dinner to be ordered from the menu at 5:00 P.M. The meeting is open to the public. Lien was born in Hamburg, Germany. At the age of five or six, she moved with her family to Taipei, Taiwan where she learned Chinese quite easily, but lost her German language. At the age of eight, she moved with her family to America where she struggled with and found her true identity. She is currently living in Los Angeles.

Lien has a Bachelor of Science, Business Management Program and Associate of Arts, Fashion Design Program from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She has traveled to Japan, Taiwan, China, South America and Germany teaching English, fashion, art, music and empowering youth. She has solo backpacked all over the world.

Lien has written an E-book is HOW TO MAKE MONEY DOING WHAT YOU LOVE: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO STARTING NOW. December 12th she officially signed with Howard Talent West agency for Acting and Print. She started her own web program called “The BEX Show,” which is conversations about love, life and work. She also writes a column for the “West Valley Journal/Monterey Park Journal.” She intends to pursue every dream that she has had since a child. She says that she has “the discipline of a German and the drive of a salesperson or CEO.” Her life purpose is to empower people to be their authentic self and to live out their highest purpose. Her aim is to be the best Asian woman speaker in the world – think Asian Oprah.

The Young Careerist/Professional Program of BPW recognizes women and men between the ages of 21 and 35 who have been in their profession or business for at least a year.
